Become a Specialist

WARNING: THIS COURSE IS NOT FOR THE AVERAGE TRAINER!
You'll already be coming to this with a solid foundation in learning theory, including motivating states, functional analysis, ethology, classical conditioning, extinction processes and operant conditioning. Feel free to check out our courses on these topics before you start. You'll probably have done at least a few days' worth of specialist courses from other providers and you'll already have worked with dogs who respond in ways considered 'reactive'. You'll be okay with DMT, engage-disengage, LAT, BAT 2.0, Treat and Retreat, Amy Cook's Play Way and Control Unleashed Pattern Games. You won't need us to teach you about stimulus gradients, extinction bursts or the problems caused by flooding. You already know all of that.

Provide comprehensive programmes

This course brings training into the 21st Century, making our work with dogs efficient, effective and accurate. Sadly, when treatment plans take months and months, it runs the risk of leaving dogs struggling to cope with the world around them. Many guardians even decide to go elsewhere and look for quicker results and magic bullets, only to find themselves disappointed and even guilt-ridden at the harm they may have caused. This course offers you the latest in learning to make training as effective as possible in as little time possible. It's a lot of bang for your buck, and we make no apology for that. This is some BIG learning and it's not for those of you who are happy doing your thing.
